Marrelsmoor Avenue Resurfacing – Road Closure
Resurfacing of the carriageway and pathways along Marrelsmoor Avenue are scheduled to take place as part of the ongoing works within the Berewood Development. To facilitate these works and ensure the safety of both the workforce and the public, Marrelsmoor Avenue will be closed to through traffic for the duration of the resurfacing works. Appropriate road closure signage and diversion routes will be in place. Residents are asked to follow the signed diversion route and allow additional time for their journeys.
Carriageway Resurfacing:
The carriageway resurfacing will be undertaken in four phases, followed by the resurfacing of the pathways. The map below shows the phasing of the carriageway works, with the programme currently scheduled as follows:
- Phase 1 – 19th and 20th October 2026
- Phase 2 – 21st and 22nd October 2026
- Phase 3 – 23rd and 26th October 2026
- Phase 4 – 27th and 28th October 2026
Please note that these dates are weather-dependent, as the resurfacing works can only be undertaken in suitable weather conditions. Consequently, the programme may extend if weather conditions affect progress.
To minimise the disruption to residents the surfacing works will be undertaken between 8.30am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday, under a full road closure. Vehicle access to and from proper.es will be available outside of these working hours. Pedestrian access to proper.es will be maintained throughout the works.
